Preparatory Course for Singapore-Cambridge General Certificate of Education Ordinary Level (GCE O-Level) Examination – 1 year

The Preparatory Course for Singapore-Cambridge General Certificate of Education Ordinary Level (GCE O-Level) Examination aims to equip students with the necessary skills and knowledge to do well in the internationally recognised examinations set by University of Cambridge and Ministry of Education Singapore. This qualification is deemed as one of the entry requirements considered by many post-secondary institutions locally and internationally.

Eligibility

AGE REQUIREMENTS

15 years old or above as of 1st January in the year of registration for the GCE ‘O’ Level examinations.

ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS

• Local Students
  – Completed/Passed Secondary 3 with Overall Results of 50% & above; or.
  – At least 1 GCE N(A)-Level subject with Grade 5 or better.
• International Students
  Completed/Passed Year 9 with Overall Results of 50% & above or equivalent.

ENGLISH REQUIREMENTS

• Local Students
  Must have one of the following:
  – Completed Secondary 3 English.
  – Completed/Passed GCE N(A)-Level English with Grade 5 or better.
  (Those who did not pass English need to sit and pass AGI’s English Placement Test with a score of at least 40% or better).
• International Students
  Must have one of the following:
  – IELTS score of 5.5 or equivalent.
  – Completed/Passed GCE N(A)-Level English Grade 5 or better.
  (Those who did not pass English need to sit and pass AGI’s English Placement Test with a score of at least 40% or better).
